Holly Lodge Easter Project

We had a brilliant time making puppets and creating stories at the Holly Lodge Centre this Easter.

Young people helped to decorate large puppets and created their own sock puppets from scratch over the course of two days.

The group worked together to develop characters for their puppets, introducing them to each other and making friends before we explored the nature trail and outdoor areas at Holly Lodge.

The young people were supported to develop a story board for a short sharing performance. They chose their larger puppets to be newcomers to the woods, who were then taught how to look after the woods by the ‘local’ sock puppets.

The project culminated in a short sharing performance by the young people on Friday afternoon, performed to an audience of parents and siblings.
