Summer Arts 2018

Summer Arts 2018 took place between Monday 30th July – Friday 3rd August at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Castlenau, Barnes.

15 children aged 4 – 10 joined us to explore art, dance, drama, puppets, storytelling and much much more! The week went a little like this:

On Monday we made masks and created a brand new dance routine!

On Tuesday we painted and created our own giant tree of hand prints, before getting stuck in to the dressing up box and creating lots of exciting new characters.

On Wednesday we learned lots of new songs and used our voices to tell stories, as well as put some actions to our singing. We also learned a new dance in a bollywood theme.

On Thursday our drama session helped us to learn some new stories and play lots of fun games, then we created our own paper plate puppets and made up some more stories using our new friends.

On Friday we finished the week by making dens, using a huge parachute as a circus tent, then did drama which explored our dens and helped us say goodbye to our new friends after a long, but fun, week.
